Cars coming to India
With a revival in its fortune in the last 5 years, Fiat Motors is on a warpath once again. This time around, it has fixed its radars on India where it plans to regain lost ground by launching some of its best-selling cars like the Fiat 500, Linea, Grande Punto and ofcourse the Bravo.

In a country where people tend to look for a parallel between the size and price of a car, it will be rather interesting to see if the Bravo, which is a sporty hatchback and will cost Rupees 16 lakhs finds any takers. According to the CEO of Fiat India Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, the Bravo will be targeted at a niche audience because of its hefty price tag and will come fully customized. With the advent of the Bravo this May, Fiat Motors will have come a long way in India since its early days, the days of the Fiat Padmini.

The Bravo is a beautifully sculpted car with soft, fluid lines and has a seductive look of a coupe. It's muscular body is a perfect blend of beauty and substance. The sleek styling and elegant interior, inspired by the very best of Italian tradition, dress a sporty character marked by performance, safety and technology. The dashboard consists of the instrument panel that is turned completely towards the driver, adds to the car's aesthetic experience.

The Bravo is relatively large for a hatchback and comes with a sparkling, high-performance 1.9litre Multijet petrol engine which churns out an awesome 150bhp @4000rpm and a peak torque of 305Nm @ 2000rpm, now that is huge! Fiat India's history of after sales service has always been abysmal with a shortage of spare parts. But one may now forget those days after its tie up with Tata Motors for sales and service in India.

Will the Fiat Bravo kick off a dust storm in India and attain the glorious heights its makers hope it will? To learn this and more stay tuned.
